How did I live this long without seeing The Equalizer with Denzel Washington? But, unfortunately, this American vigilante action film is not for the faint of heart.
There is a quintessential line in the motion picture that caught my attention.
Robert “Bob” McCall (Denzel) confronts his nemeses, Itchenko, at a restaurant, revealing that he knows his history and pledges to bring down his criminal enterprise.
Then McCall comes out with, “If you’re gonna pray for rain, you got to deal with the mud.”
The other side of stepping up is stepping out.
As I prayed for God’s direction in my healing journey, my way was made clear again and again. The Universe genuinely supports me.
That’s praying for rain and getting a drencher.
What’s the mud all about?
